on the news this morning it showed DFW as the #1 growing metroplex in the US. 166,000+ moved here last year. that is over 500 a day.

500 wonderful high class citizens at that.
:shooter3:
No wonder that crime and crazy acts are off the hook. We already have enough scumbags and wackos here.....now we get 500 more a day!!:Flush:

I'd rather the crazies move to TX instead of here.:silly:
Hey now....that's not fair.
:nutkick:LOL!

I guess I really can't say too much.....I migrated here back in '93, so I was one of those damn people with a U-haul at one time too!
But I figure after 15 years...I've earned my place and my "Texas attitude".:usa2:

having that many people move to your area is a very bad thing, trust me, it happened here. I would recommend getting out quickly lol.

Seriously though...it is a great place to live. Just have to research and be careful about the area you move to. But DFW is HUGE...so there's plenty of nice areas. I bought my house in Royse City which is a small town about 30 miles from downtown Dallas. Fairly easy and short commute (considering), but for the most part away from all of the crazy crap that goes on. Kind of an old time small town feel.
But yes....we definately have our share of low life scumbag freeloaders, that's for sure.

I love the heat, the food and the location.

Generally, Houston is not really an attractive city due to the landscape and all the roads; however, I've seen much worse.

Unemployment is low, housing is relatively cheap and we have lot's of entertainment.

Since we're so spread out, it can take a while to get places and traffic can be a real beast, but at least we're not stacked on top of each other.

I have no plans or desire to leave Houston.

Ide move away from here in a heartbeat if I could. Im in between Houston and Galveston, near the bay. They put up new street lights each month it seems. When I was a kid everyone asked why "WE" me and my family live way out here/there"??? now EVERYONE is moving here. cow pastures turn into subdivisions.
