wamiltons hull build?

I would like to build a ski, but not sure if its worth it. I have a 99 now, all thats done is holds, cut pole and xmetal steering. I assume the wammer hull would be lighter and stronger?? It comes with the hood and nose piece aswell... I have no idea what my bare hull would be worth, but its in great shape. I live in cincinnati ohio, so its all flatwater riding and boat wakes. What do you guys think? I know there are other hulls as well, but not sure whats better then what. I thought about building a boat last year aswell..

I had the oportunity to ride the Jame's 08' Wammer. :love: The handling on that boat is supurb. :purr::purr: It makes me want one.

nope didnt ride it last week...although now that i think about it i DID ride it the last time you were down here like a month ago. never in the surf though. and in all fairness i have ridden probably 10 or so completely different ski's in the past few times out. hard to sort them all out.
HAHAHA LOL Gump looks constipated in that pic.

I think those hulls are 100lbs. WDK can offer a similar weight with hood, bracket, etc.. I think the REV is around $3k right now.

I"m not a big fan of the rev.. Although I think the rev might be lighter... I really want to build a boat. Do these hulls everything just swaps over and bolts up right? I really like the xft hulls, but there big loot. I'd be selling my 99 which hasn't been beat at all.

Before making your AM hull decision , You need to ask questions like "What type of resins and materials are used? " and "How is it layed up ?" Is there any carbon re-inforcements? what are my options?

Seems to me that everybody is more concerned about the price than what kind of hull you are getting.

Disclaimer: not cutting down anybody, just helping the consumer make a more knowledgable decision.

I agree with Steve. I have never been a big fan of wammer hulls or hoods. They just don't seem to hold up as well as a WF or Waterdawg hull. Plus WF and Waterdawg hulls are made in the US :usa2: Not always a concern for some but I take a sense of pride in riding US built products (if they are done well)

that really dont change how good they are...

i met one of the guys that is working here in wammer shop now that was from from Brazil shop .he is the one who work with Wamiltons on the wammerjet .he really know what he is doing.

The Other thing to consider is the handling of the hull. The hull could be made out of the finest materials and by the most skilled craftsmans and still ride like crap.

This a generalized statement not speaking of an particular builder
