Looks like they are relative to ol' Hitler. A legend in the Tampa Bay area. 16 foot hammerhead shark. Said to lurk between Anna Maria Island and Egmont Key.

a few yrs ago on a nobody out there friday...same location...3 feet of water where the nude peeps stand off the bird sanc island...while riding on a dbl blaster I rode right over a ten foot hammmerhead !! circled quick back around and saw it again powering itself out of there...amazing to see that giant head close on a ski !! I will never forget that monster ever....

I was riding a half mile off Ft. Desoto out to Egmont key by the north channel last Sunday. I fell off my ski one time and let it get away from me. I did NOT let it happen again. My shoulder HURT monday. I held on for dear life and dragged that ski under every other time. I've never been nervous in the water much less how nervous that 30 foot swim made me. Lots of hammer heads, blacktips and bull sharks out there. I've caught them... but for some reason I not only ride there but I ride further out than I fish /boggle.

this is why i love riding in a lake.. lol

Most of my friends say they are more afraid of gators than sharks. Neither really bother me. One day when we were wakeboarding, I tried to get my friends to take a picture of me ollieing over a gator. It submerged itself of course. It's size that bothers me. If I were to get bit by a shark in my normal riding spots, it'd probably be 3-5 feet. Where I was the other day... it could very well be 10 feet or more.

No gators amoeba or jellyfish up here in new hampshire..

might have to worry about a snapping turtle, other than that..:fingersx:

nothing else toworry bout

Yeah that's the upside of flatwater.

But we don't have to worry about having any surf to play in either.

I'd rather have to take my chances with some sharks. I'm sure the engine noise scares them off a bit anyway. Right?
