Well I have been looking for one for some time for one of these and I finally had ot break down and opend my wallet a little wider. Sad to say but this engine cost more then the purchase of BOTH of my two X2's. Then again I paid around $850 for each of them. In the end, I am happy. This thing is practically BRAND NEW! I got a fair deal considering I got a complete long block AND all the electrics.

I hope this year I can do some :brap: and :barrel: rather than :splatt:

Its that an 800 motor? Its freaking MINT.

The pictures do not do it justice! It was nicer than I expected it to be. I will run this setup as follows:

FPP exhaust manifold
FPP 650 head pipe and chambe unless I can find a nice WB Limited chamber
FPP 650 Water Box
Choke plates removed with primer fittings
Aftermarket flame arrestors of some kind w/ water filters
Eventually I will get an aftermarket head, either an ADA or JSU

Other setup will be:
Bored PJS aluminum nozzle
Wet Wolf Cone
Skat 9/17 Prop - Is this too small? I am thinking so
Jet Dynamics ride plate
Jet Dynamics intake grate
X2 Guy trim system
Accusteer steering system
Renthal Fat Bars 1-1/8"
ODI Grips
UMI trim lever
UMI throttle lever
UMI billet gas cap
Oil Filler and gas block offs
JSS fuel pickup
Dakine foot straps
Hydro turf

Eventually before summer's end I will get a 24/7 carbon hood, ride plate, and steering cover.

I would like to make a carbon fiber e-box to save soem weight. I want to go through all the electrics and trim the wires if they are too long or extend them if need be. Then I could add some of those 4 pin connectors and make everything looks nice and clean like the JSS electrical stuff John does.

I have about 75-80% of all the parts listed above so I don't have a bunch more to spend. I would say 1k or less

Anyone know what kind of jetting I should run?
What about shorting out the air temp sensor to advance the timing?
Will a UMI throttle drum fit on these carbs?

Shawn said it best when he said it is going to be an expensive summer...

You find the WB pipe for me :)

I'm running a 9/17 w/ WW cone on my 750 and it seems a little small (cavitates to easily).
yes, the UMI throttle drum will fit but ADA throttle drum is 1/2 the price.
Having spent a good amount of time researching and reading about jetting I'd say the stock jets will most likely end up being to rich (especially if you block the crossover) with the 650 pipe. If you do go with a Blaster B pipe I would start with FPP's recommendations for 800 wet pipe (152.5H, 80L). Crab ended up running smaller that OEM jets in his SJ b piped 750 (with crossover blocked) I'm still running stock jets and although I'm a little lean on the bottom I believe that blocking the crossover will richen it up enough.

BK, I will run a stock 650 pump. I do have a 750 pump but I will have to have an intake grate shortened so it will work. I mocked a 750 pump into my old X2 hull. I will also have to cut off the pump shoe off of a junk 650 pump I have. I might try the 750 pump swap later on this summer with a TBM stufer. I would rather just get a magnum though.

NK I will just order an advance plate. I have a whole bunch of "little things" to order and I will just add that to the list. I did a Blowsion order to see how much that was going to cost and it was like 300 bucks! :( I probably have 4 more orders like that to do too... :(

Since when did flame arrestors cost 50 bucks a piece?!!! For that they should give you the water jacket things for free!

Stock SXR prop works great, with the X2 stock nozzle. You really need the big hub in there.

better yet, send a stock SXR prop to dave at IMPROS and have it pitched to 12-17, machined and cut back........

Yeah I was hoped to get the prop with my purchase but they need it still. That ws my plan to send it to Impros. and get it repitched and cut back. They have to machine them to fit the 650 pump anyways.

Crab, want to trade that chamber for a pump shaft? lol

I ma thinking I really need a WB limited chamber. I compared my 650 FFP chamber ot YFZPilot's SJ Limited chamber and the 650 is a good bit smaller... :(

I remember a pic of the SXR wetpipe chamber in an X2... now that would be the ticket.
for that matter you could find a 750 limited chamber, the mounts are set up for that cylinder!!!!!!!!!!!

I do have this exhaust chamber but I would have to do some creative exhaust hose running. I am mainly just wanting a simple swap at the moment. No exotic gotta all winter to mod stuff kind of build. It will be warm before I know it... :(
