i am really pumped up to ride my x2 it sounds great fires right up, great compresion. i have played with 2 strokes for over 30 years. its to cold to ride in toronto. its really cold today. i live a couple of miles away from dock in lake ontario . if i put ski in water still on trailer and run it, i would know for sure if its ok , maybe do a plug test . what do you think am i nuts. i dont want to bring it to florida and not have running.dealers up here use tank testing

traylor testing is fairly limited but is do able . how thick a wet suit do you have :wavey: . test on the trayor for a few mins for water leaks and make sure its running alright . but im afraid to say get out and give it a ride ,but just dont fall off

I wouldn't advice riding in lake O this time of year...but that is just me...not sure if you've ever been on a X2 before but if not well now would not be the time to try one especially alone in this weather.

My first time riding one I wiped out multiple times and struggled to get back on...I could only imagine what the freezing cold water would do to you...just my 2 cents, takeit for what its worth.

This is good advice. X2's have a slight learning curve, and No drysuit = bad idea. But I would give it a good run on the trailer checking for water/exhaust leaks, ect.

if you tune it now - the jetting will be all f'ed up come summer. we stopped riding because the cold water was not letting the cylinders warm up enough. had to slow the cooling flow to the engine and it was still leaning out due to the cold weather.
