so i have read some articles on here about this and i have still got a few q's.

ada--msd enhancer-tuned all the way up- pipe-jetted-gapped- pluged 3 holes covered in front.

so like the title says the ski runs at about middle throttle and when i wot it dies completly after about 3-6 seconds seems like somone hits the red button.

could it be lacking air

could it be fouled plugs

could it be to rich 40-1

could it be msd enhancer- tuned all the way up

take out 1 or 2 stock airbox screens

lean seizure?

ski ran fine and did wot longer than 3-6 before my build- took all fuel lines out and pickups out of the tank. never cleaned the carbs. ski ran great as long as i didnt do full to almost wot.
-didnt check on the way home on way back to dock.

really random and crazy post i know.

think it will be the air shortage thing-

ya

look at the pic did somthing to the air tank breather and zip tied it to the fuel lines the are a lil pinched and i think you are my new best friend. the breather thing works right just dont atach it to the fuel lines. also what way on fuel selector is "ON"

air shortage from closing off hood holes doesnt usually KILL the engine, just makes it sound like its bogging, and wont reach full RPMs.

tank vent, and one way valve if it has one, it should allow air INTO The tank, and nothing OUT of the tank.

it was

on reserve does that have any effect? like is it a smaller hole to let less fuel. or is it the same flow as ON cause that would be a easy fix!:bananalama:

ok so what about the new way i have the tank breather or possible fuel line crimpage. could it be the fuel filter its in its stock spot. maybe its not producing enough anyone else have this issue its close to the carb.

ok

id open the carbs and check the internal filters.

never done that when i added the gas that was in it before the weeks work i notice some crap on the bottom possible dust and stuff from dusty tubbie install
maybe i should run it again and fill her up with fresh gas and try it again before checking carb filter is that a hard job. will they get clean or is it once gloged-craped up got to go in there- deal.

ahhh

You might also want to run a dump off the head to a pisser outlet.

thats the way i had it also before this issue came up.

i thought this setup is ok should i go back to the old way or other way.

or you mean keep it like this just add a extra dump.

the internal filters have a finer mesh than the oem externals do. therefore, its possible to have them both clogged... only the internal filter will be clogged with the finer material that passed through the external filter. or it could be fine enough 'dust' to have completely passed through the external, but clogged the internals.

removing, cutting open, examining and replacing the external filter is easy and standard maintenance and should obviously be done first. i always find crap in the internal filters and that has become a part of my regular maintenance too.
