fx1 grates

Hey which fx1 grate should I be looking for for my ski to get better hook up in the chop? I'm figure it should be a top loader but I'm not sure which one to look for.

If I remember correct, I'm running a protec intake, unknown ss impeller and an extended ride plate, b pipe, milled head, along with tubbies. It's not bad; minus tubbies, thats how it came, the tubbies made a huge difference for me. When I get back it will have the pump, prop, and some other stuff that I dont know about

From what I understand, putting a pipe on it will make a huge difference, so maybe your next mod.

The thing ive noticed about the FX1, any additional power you make from stock, from adding a head or pipe or porting, is dayum nearly wasted on anything but glass smooth water.

I would get the pump/grate/impeller figured out first, and THEN look at a pipe and whatever else.

What! What!
I have run the Pro Tec grate and plate on mine since it was new. I put them on about a month after I got the ski, so I know how it handled prior to them. I put the plate on first, and, eeehh, didn't really notice much change, honestly. The grate, was a major improvement, helping keep the ski locked much better to the water and help take some of the "squirrel" out of her.

Just ordered a protec grate, have to wait till spring to see how that works out. Chicago winters suck when it comes to Skis.....

Otherwise my ski has an unknown pitch Solas prop, MSD enhancer, and K/N intake.

I'll have to save up for the Factory Pipe. I'd like to try that mod someday.

Thanks
