what time do you start?

i was kind of joking..but we usually like to get out there by 7am..it usually craps out here by 9....i actually ride until the the wind blows or i run out of gas..im usually good for at least 3 tanks a day conditions permitting...:haha:

all the other guys always show up at 10am after a luxurious breakfast only to find it blown out and we are on the way to get a burger..

Weather forecasts show Daytona looking to be in the mid 70's daytime with lows in the upper 50's at night- should be partly cloudy to clear that weekend, if weather.com knows it's stuff!
Also, anyone know about depths at the riding location in Daytona? Sand bars, nasty objects underwater, etc.? Just curious if there are certain areas to avoid, and if it is safe to stab or if you need to come up short.

it's a typical beach break. shallow at the shore and gets deeper as you go out. :cool2:

So there's really not an issue with shallow spots, eh? That's good- I know in Sebby north of the pier it drops off right after you get in the water at the beach, so I guess Daytona is the same way..? I would hate to ruin my weekend busting the nose of my ski off in a sand bar.

Just plain me....

Don't be fooled...plenty of ski noses have been broken at Daytona. Just ask Slutty & Pete.

scope it out some. if you see a bunch of waves picking up in one spot it's probably got a sand bar there. there is no inlet/jetties or reefs but there could be a sand bar, just like any other beach.

It's a very gradual beach break. The inside break could only be in thigh deep water. Very fun for slashing and re-entry (attempts) but no good for stabs or inverted tricks.
