Cough! Cough!
I wasn't feeling so well yesterday at 7:00 am, at least not well enough to make it in to work. I have a family, house, bills to pay, etc. and while it may not be the most responsible thing to do, I SURE HAD A LOT OF FUN!!
I hit Belleville lake at 11:00 :shhh:. The air temp was gonna get to about 60 degrees and that is too much to resist. The lake water was cold, not sure of the exact temp. I measure water by these criteria:
warm (don't even realsize your in the water), chilly (you say burr when getting into the water, but not cold to even think about it when riding), cold (makes you think twice before subbing or stabbing, takes your breath away momentarially but not enough to keep off the water) and Freezing (takes breath away, must concentrate to keep breathing and body begins to go numb if you have to swim to the ski)
I rode for 2-1/2 hours and the warm air temp made it comfortable. It's the middle of November and I can't imagine have many more 60 degree days left. I got one last good ride in before winter hits. I will probably make it to the lake again, but I only get about 15 - 20 minuites a shot because the water is freezing and hypothermia starts setting in ...
Maybe its time for a dry suit!
Oh ya, the Boss commented it looks like I got a little sun yesterday :newangel:
