Check this Bad Bones dual resonator that showed up in the mail. I dont like it as much as the MMF style, but I gave up completely on trying to find one of those. This thing weighs like 1.5lbs! I have to test fit it on Friday with the 95 foam, and figure out how I am going to have the outlet cut and welded to work with the front exhaust outlet. Will take some pics. Atleast it cant be any louder than my current setup...lol Anyone know where you can buy stainless resonators like these, by themselves? Could probably get a cool setup welded together all 2" id.

Sweetemos had some on ebay that were pretty similar just PJS brand,I have one of the single resonators in the 300sx conversion ski,it has a nice sound and is not too loud,the dual with that water injection port should have a nice tone and not be overly loud.Madscientist PM Sweetemos and ask her if she has any more PJS ressonators,thats what I had to do on the thru hull for my X2 she listed one right away.:Banane35:

You mean she actually got back to you? Sweetemos is the worst about communication on eBay! I had to beg them just to send me an invoice for multiple auctions I won from them.

I do have one of those silencers you speak of. I have been debating on buying one of the through hull silencers.


Shawn... I hate to tell you but that water box will be a bit loud still.... My friend has one in his 650 SX and it is noticably louder than my stock 650 X2 box. Then again last time we were out ridign he said he had his watr limited to it. You may just have to tap your stock aluminum outet and plumb a pisser line to a fitting there. The curtain of water going out the ski with the exhaust will quiet it down some.

She did not get back to me but she did list the items requested,she did however get back to me after the sale with her address for payment.That box will be louder than stock but its a nice loud not and obnoxious loud.

Thats sucks... I have a new FPP one that I haven't tried yet. They used to be in cohoots with FPP Pretty much the same exact box as I can tell.

A stock 94-95 box is as good performance wise as anything avialable, they are also nearly as loud.

I used to run a stock pipe with a Kerker tail cone and a water restricter in my head pipe. It is a little plug that closes up the hole in teh back of the head pipe some. it came with the Kerker tail cone. I also had a second bypass going off my head with single cooling.


Well that 95 X2 was a bit louder than my 91 650 SX with a 750 engine and rear exhaust.


Weedoo can you post a pic of the through hull fitting you got from sweetemos? Only thing that keeps me from buying one is that the center part looks huge and that would mean cutting a big hole in the ski to fit it in.= the hull....

I would but its not here yet,I cut the whole center of the footwell out on mine so I am ready when it gets here.The center part is 3.5 inches in daimeter though.

Yeah 3.5" is pretty big I didn't want to cut a foot well out for it.

Looks cool, but I have no interest in doing a rear exhaust. Too much work and extra weight. If I do any piping to the back of the ski it will be for a scupper....lol I think the bad bones will get me to noise levels that I want to be at (hopefully)

I have been slacking on getting it cut and rewelded. It will not clear with the relocated front exhaust from the tubbie install. I dont think I am going to mess with it until after daytona, as I am still riding the ski alot. I bet I will have one of the loudest skis there...LOL
