New to standups guys. how much difference does a b-pipe make over stock without other mods? can the money be better spent on other upgrades? looking for a sn sj, pretty much stock so i can learn it from the ground up. got my eyes on a couple.

Yes, in my opinion for a beginner the money can be better spent on other, cheaper things. You can get a lot of handling mods for the cost of the b pipe, but when you want more power there is not going to be a better option, but I would go with some steering mods, intake grate, prop, etc first if the ski doesn't have it done already. Use the search function though, and I would also suggest actually riding it for a while before you start modding it.

B Pipe is pretty much the pipe to run on a 701. Sadly they are expensive as hell and are hard to find (even new).

I would get used to the ski and how it handles. Once you are ready for more power, look for a used B pipe (goodluck) or a Riva or Speedwerx Dry Pipe (much cheaper, still a good hit from it)

if youre new, you could defintely go with an impeller and intake grate first. then you can mod your steering for a tighter radius. the steering mod is free, unless you get a UMI steering aasy to go w/ it. b pipe and msd enhancer would be next on the list with a girdled head.

That's what the bandwagon of the Intarnets says, anyway.

I say :bs2:
Type 4, Type 9, Freeride dry, RD Dry, RD wet, Speedwerx race & fs are all excellent pipes to run.
Most of them make more power than B Pipes.

The b-pipes's big appeal is the ease of maintenance & reliability. It's pretty much install & forget.
Dry pipes take can take a bit more finagling to install right and make some maintenance in the ski harder.

Controversial as always Matt E has arrived...:thewave:

Would Team Scream be building 950+cc monsters and running B pipes if they didn't make the most sense? And yes there is talk of a new pipe for these massive 62T platforms, but its not here yet....

Yes people have great success with other pipes. This is why I put this in my post

Dude, you just don't quit.....

How bout the coffman sizzler...install is a breeze and I haven't touched mine again in over 8 yrs.

Not as much power as a B-pipe though...

i think though, that when we were talking about that stuff...he was basing that statement on the "shoulder dyno"

SWEET now that is some good news I am actually glad to hear that.:Banane09:

I am watching his motor builds close if he could just work on his delivery I may spend some cash there but I want some dyno information on his products
