66E / 66v can be bored to 90mm, I have done 86 & 87mm.
66E has more ports, yes they were the preferred cylinders for GPRs but they have gone back to 66v as they want the top end. 70mph +, there is an on going debate. PV’s or No PVS. Like us on the Lameys, Me I take PVS hands down as you get the best of both worlds sick bottom end, and good mid to top.
The reason RAMJET and I are interested in the pipe is as follows:
Stock 66E has 118-121 hp. I have dynode a few so this part I know is fact.
FFP has twin pipes that give 18 – 20 hp. 120 + 20 = 140 hp with just a pipe WOW!!!
The twin pipes suck for Blaster or SJ. Like the B pipe and PV’d lameys the head pipe gets in the way of the PV. If there was a pipe that has a head pipe like the GP760 FFP and a chamber like the LTD or MOD pipe that gave min base HP of 10 hp+ now you have a stock motor with just a pipe with 130 hp and as you add more that number jumps.
Waterdawg has a pipe, but well we all know about waterdawg!
I had this set up and Lamey dynode it at 148hp. FFP pipe, Gas Valves, 86mm cylinders, 150 psi, pump gas, stock carbs, stock elec, stock cases and crank and there was a lot more in her if you added total loss and a few other things. You get my point on the power you can get.
Me I would have 66E’s in all my boats if there was a good reliable single pipe for it, trust me I love my lameys but dollar for dollar for HP you would get a lot more.
66E’s have there issues, been there done that, but once cooled and the right combination of parts you can get a beast of a motor that runs.
EBAY add, those are 66E cylinders, you can tell by the mounting flats for the stock pipe by the carbs.
Now that’s my opinion, take it the way you like and keep on riding
