dude! i was at my local lake today and was farting around on my moms new couch when this huge friggin black storm came rolling in. i headed back to the loading ramp to get the ski out and right as i was pulling it out these huge like 3-3.5 ft waves came rolling in. (keep in mind we dont have ANY big cruisers to throw big waves around here so these were the biggest ive ever seen on my lake) so i RAN to my truck and backed my ski into the water and it was like being in the ocean again (on a much smaller scale). the waves kept coming for like 15 minutes. my buddy showed up as they were dying down and snapped a few shots. i have to resize them but just check my avatar.:woot::woot::woot:

Storms can really whip up some waves.. Me and my dad were driving to the lake one day when it started to pick up.. we were like hmmm maybe they will get big.. When we got to the ramp the waves 8 to 9 ft tall!!!! They were monsters and lasted for almost 6 hours!!!

No doubt man. Last years rock n ride here in Cleveland was flat as glass in the morning but by 1PM all hell broke lose. Clean 5-6 footers from a storm that rolled in.

Storm that blew threw yesterday had winds of 50 mph and hail with lightning all over. It was so bad that the white caps knocked my SJ completely off one of those drive on floating pwc docks. We were in the garage watching the storm when my ski went floating by. I almost went out in the storm to get it but figured worst that would happen is it would sink in 4 feet of water. Lucky the wind blew it up onto the beach. My life jacket was 200 yards down the lake tied up in the weeds but my gloves are history. Also blew a 53 pound bench off the end of the dock and the people next door were almost done with their dock until it blew the freshly installed roof (not completed) half off. Nasty cell

Was on lake wilson when i was prolly 7. Clear day......then storm rolled through. Scared me really bad and gives me a little chillt hinking about it. We were in a smaller Sea Ray boat when it hit and waves were a good 5 foot. It sunk 3 boats that day.

The storm came through so fast a boat pulling their son skiing didnt even have time to get him out of the water...that fast. They had to leave him there in the waves floating alone beacuse they couldnt get to him and the boat was taking on way too much water. We picked him up in calmer water on our way out.

Hitting those waves in the face in a boat was a expeirence I'll never forget. .....ehhhhhhhhhh
