How much lower are most of the brackets? Do they really help that much?

The RRP bracket is nearly $300, for that money I could make my own out of stainless.

Dude....i love that x-h2o sticker you have...pretty and sparkly! Why do you need a pole prop when you have it tightened. I havent used my prop since I have tightened my pole. It just stays wherever I put it.

But not up to take the hood off?

a lowered bracket and shortened steering should be the first places you take away length in my opinion... b/c once you go shortened on the pole, you can't get that length back unless you get another pole.

I could definitely feel the difference between a stock bracket and the WDK bracket. Plus the stock bracket will crack and break if your rough enough on it.

im runnin a XFT bracket with a blowsion spring.you have to cut 3/4 to an inch off the end of the spring. i think the XFT has the lowest pivot point. the bolt head wont clear the top of the nose when its installed. you need to put the bracket to the pole before mounting to the ski.with the spring you dont need the little latch that holds up the pole it stays where byou put it.im also runnin a stock hood and XFT turn plate. and this setup moves me up in the tray pretty far.

no idea on a WD bracket. the instructions that come with the spring from blowsion says cut 3/8 if using with a blowsoin bracket and that wasnt enough wit XFT. I ended up puttin the pole and spring on the bracket while off of the ski then i cut the spring flush then installed bracket to the ski.
