haha I need to hit the gym. I gotta get teh 2 hop thing down. I seem to hop once then the pump doesn't hook up for the next bigger hop. I mainly been trying off one hop.
Since you're a fly weight, you gotta get your weight more forward than normal to achieve proper angle
Thats what I do. I can hop no problem, I just cant seem to pitch it enough nose down. I land flat, or front of the hull. I can bunny hop up and level out great. Its just gettin the rotation up and foreward to get the nose to nose in at the right angle I need to work on.
I complained of the same problems with my SJ and still couldn't pull one off even after a few years of trying (without footholds). The best I could do is get the nose just under but it would pop up right away. I got a new SXR last year and I was pulling deep subs 3 minutes out no problem, so the problem isn't with me.
I stripped my SJ down this winter and did refoam and footholds amongst many other mods and am looking for a maiden voyage this weekend. I replaced 28lbs of waterlogged foam with 5lbs of new foam. I think that should help with subs. In total my SJ is now 32lbs lighter than it was last year.
If your a lightweight, waterlogged foam might make all the difference in the world. I'll let you know if mine is any better after the weekend. I'm hoping my porpoising has gone away too and in general the nose is down alot more.
