DAP Weldwood is not avaliable from Home Depot in my area.
Canadian Tire (another outdoor/hardware place) doesn't have any either.

Is there another alternative glue that people have used with success?

I will try Rona (our Lowes) but if Depot and CT don't have it, chances are neither will Rona (Lowes).

Any alternatives?

On business next week in IL (mon-wed) and I need this ski to be finished so I can ride next weekend. Its almost July and my ski hasn't seen water yet. LAME! :banghead:

As far as I know, there is no acceptable replacement.

I can't believe they didn't sell it home depot. Did you try the paint section?

Lowes should have it. Other wise, try some mom and pop stores in your area... Call around before driving everywhere.

Yeah I checked Depot up and down. Asked a couple people and they said DAP? We have that, took me over the the caulking... :frown:

I'll keep searching, was hoping to turf tonight, so we'll see.

Need to check Rona.

Tell them you are doing glue-down laminate countertops and need a strong contact cement that's waterproof.
They never WTF you mean if you just ask for Dap. Dap is a brand. What you want is DAP weldwood contact cement. in a red & black can.

What he said. Good contact cement, 3M/DAP/Weldwood/etc, just make sure it's solvent based, not water based. Laminate countertop glue, whatever, any hardware store will have it.

I have checked HD aswell for the stuff and they don't carry the dap brand up here, maybe its been renamed but the stuff they do carry is called Lepage and works just fine. Can be found in the paint/adhesive department and is about $11.00. I ususally use the high strentght full coverage or something like that...

Get the stuff in the RED label from Canadian Tire!!!

That is the very best glue I have ever used!!!!!
I used to get "Famous Amos" to send it to me all the time.
There is certain chemicals avail in Canada that we can't use here in the states. That stuff holds like no other!!
