I have a 95 sj....was wanting to get kickers but I seen foot straps on Blowsion....can foot straps be used instead?....:feedback:

Yes its just a different riding style more ideal for surf riding. The godfather himself Joe Kenny rode his like that with two straps for lead and rear foot in surf stance. IMO enough said haha

I may try that....I just don't want to drill into my hull to put kickers in.....to much work....to little time..

True but dont be like me with mine and use Stainless steel wood screws without Silicone in rush to go ride next morning.

Are there any good write ups on how to install the straps? It seems like some drilling is gonna need to happen... I'm on an X2, but seems like the same regardless..

the x2 i believe is drilling im not sure though but for stand up trays some one posted one called Footstraps recently i think in either this section or Freestyle/freeride

there is a good thread about how to install foot straps without drilling into your ski. I used this technique and it works well. Most of the riders use the straps for surf riding, having one in front of the tray and one near the rear. I personally prefer having the straps serve the same purpose as footwells or holds and so I put mine side by side near the rear of the ski.

I'm NEW NEW NEW to this, so don't make too much fun of me.
As I've been riding my ski on the lake, I've found that I much prefer goofy foot surf stance. It feels more comfortable to me and more stable in the chop.
My question is, do I even need footholds if I were to install straps?

NOPE...unless you like you foot in the same position as it would be in a footwell but in a strap.(farther out than the gunwhales allow)..you can notch out the side of the tray so you toes can go into the side of the gunwhale...footwells are for flatwater and straps for surf...although i do love the way you can RAIL corners with straps once you get used to not switching your stance...doing tricks in the surf in the footwells looks lame imo

the acorn nut allows you to weld it to the washer without seeping molten hot metal into the threads of the nut and it also stops the bolt once it has reached maximum depth so you don't keep tightening it into your boat.
now you know... :biggthumpup:
ign says it was cancelled for Xbox release..... only on PS2. Probably means it sucked but hey, it's still skis... Wave Race for GC is where its at.....
