Factory Pipe HOOKED me up!!! (was need FP help!)

I just got back from a good ride today where the ski ran great! I opened the hood and checked everything out ...and.....I see a 1.5 inch line on my chamber that is surrounded by exhause soot. upon further inspection, it turns out the chamber has a hairline fracture in it. It's not on a seam either. It's right in the middle of the pipe on the top. Any recommendations? Find a good local aluminum welder? Send it back to FPP? haha... This kinda stinks because I just slapped on my new UMI setup and the boat was feeling really good. I hate to have to rob the chamber off my square nose. thanks for any input!

Any decent welding shop should be able to fix that up with a TIG while U wait for $20 or so. I have had my chamber shortened or welded a couple of times over the years and I always had a local welder do it. I would rather have it done and get it back in service quick rather than wait for shipping to and from Cali. not to mention the turn around time. If the chamber had a major flaw I would make FPP repair / replace. Just my .02 worth..

Holy shiat. This chamber has a huge split underneath right out in the middle of the chamber ...and a nice split on one of the seams underneath....and also a small crack where it had banged on where the motor mounts. dang. I'm glad I pulled this out. I was gonna just have it welded locally like you guys suggested, but this thing is split all over. I am gonna see if FPP will hook me up here.

I was not running hot all. As a matter of fact...I was probably running waaaay too cool. I am not sure why it occurred, but a company standing behind their product like that gets 2 thumbs up from me.
