Although I don't like the underpowered 650sx, I will admit I have one that died 12 years ago in the river. The concept I am toying with is to completely mod out the hull out to include:

Remove external fill and cover
lower pole mount approx 4 inches
change pole type and style
set pole flush with lowered hood
hull reinforcement
dual one way valves
extended chines ( similar to SXR)
footholds
hull extensions (removable)
lighten hull where possible
X2 trim nozzle
Tubbie 2's
SXR tray styling

The final toutch would be installing the 750 small pin motor and Bpipe, or perhaps a dry pipe. This would be the next winter project just to see what I could make of the old girl. Very little money out of pocket as I already have most of the stuff.

Still looking for an SJ.

Just for sheets and giggles. I still want an SJ, but I kinda liked fooling with the glass. ITs still for sale, but if I don't sell it, out comes the cut wheel.

I know, thats the beauty of it. I would rather have a 300sx to start with, but I'm not spending money on one. Nate was freestyling it at Moses, we were all laughing our arses off! 300sx with 800cc would be some fun. Oh, and I want an SJ just like yours Matt, so I can be broke down on the beach also...lol.

technically there were 10, one (an X2) never made it off of the trailer.

I know that all 3 of our SJ's were broken down at one point along w/ another clogged cooling line. . . I don't know about the rest however. . .

That makes me want one even more!:Banane01: :banghead: :haha:

You need to leave your X2 with me for the midas toutch, they can be a beach to work on. I think I finally figured out that my 20 year old coil must have moisture in it, nothing else makes sence. The strange thing is, if you hang it with the plug wires down and zip tie it to the cable cluster, it seems to work just fine.

I think that somehow my timing is off. At least I hope so. I'm going to pull off the flywheel and cover tomorrow and check to see if that is the problem. I think that it just needs some more attention to detail, the surf will find your weakest point and exploit it, like say a 61X cylinder. . .

In your case, the trailer finds the weakest point to exploit - the X2...:haha::arms:
Guy's, I hate to point out the obvious but you drive all day and nite to finally get to the ocean after waiting for a month and a half, make sure they run!Or bring lots of spares.:sneaky:

Well Matt was near it, I'm not sure that he was actually "riding" it though. . .
Remind me nextime I see matt to check his electrical aurora, he may have too much static electricity around him and short out ignitions. My multimeter can pick that stuff up.
