When does it happen?
It's normal when you shut the engine off.
It shouldn't happen while the engine is running in the water.

Smoke can come up through the pipe screws into the cooling lines and out the pisser when run dry on land.

BUT, it would not be a lot of smoke, just a few whiffs.

If it happens when your in the water, then you have issues with your head sealing.

the one from my pipe smokes when dry and spits out a little black stuff when wet (stains the side of the boat)...the one from the head is clean as a whistle

When i had smoke coming out of my pisser it was a blown headgasket. It pressurizes the cooling system and doesnt let water flow well. Check compression if its quite a bit of smoke.

The last time I rode mine it started bogging real bad. I thought it was just from low fuel but it had about 2 gallons left in it. I did notice the pisser steaming as I was boarding a couple times. The pisser is run from the pipe and not the head which is a Greater Yamaha head. Time to pull off the head I guess.

mike..do you backflush thru your pissers? or use a flush kit?

No. This ski has a flush kit hooked up in line with the water inlet line. I pulled the head today and the jackets were caked with beach sand.:banghead: I have this ski completely apart so I'm going to put everything back correctly.:cool2: I should have it running again in a week or so.
