I like a little metallic in the paint but the glitter is to much for me. It just looks like a rainbow colored junior high girl, and those are pretty much the most annoying thing God ever made...

I think that the title of this thread should be corrected. Tho skis don't come with metalflake, many people seem to have it.

The flake is actually in the clear coat.
1. Lay down your color base coat
2. Mix glitter in with clear coat and spray (any color glitter)
3. Lay a few layers of just clearcoat over that
4. Get some shades to enjoy the bling!!:cool2:

yes and no, painters dont go to the craft store and mix it in their paints, there are many different types of flake. Size and shape especially have a lot to do with how it lays down and sometimes the different colors you see from various angles.
