I dont know if anyone said this yet but they are ricockulously priced. Like almost 7k I think for a underpowered giant surfboard......dah....thats what waves are for. They tried that with skateboards also...it failed also.

Joe says he thinks it'll be a new revolution in PWC's. :bs2:

Yea right, They arent anywhere near as fast/powerful/manueverable as a sitdown, and none of the tricks/handling of a standup.
add a huge pricetag onto that too.

people spend 13K on a hydrospace when you can get the same results from half the price with an sxr.

two models... the cheapest one is $9k. and its a rotary engine. so reliability is probably a joke.

i kinda feel bad if one guy has his whole life and finances invested in this...

it's a 13b rotary, not the 3 rotor motor that is prone to failure in the rx7's

The 13B is what came out in all but the first RX 7's (the series 1 and 2 were available with the 12A). The 20B (3 rotor) was a Japan only motor that was developed for the Cosmo (4 door sedan).
The rotaries reliability is up for debate but not in this thread.

That still leaves us with this lame board and someones push to sell the junk via youtube exposure.

Lame I say, lame.

you know when 'knee riding' is advertised as a bonus that its lame. Wow, dont think I've ever seen anything that lame, except that jetski 'chest pack' someone put some pictures up of earlier. Lucky for me theres not too many idiots with money where I live.

Oh, and let me get this straight, it takes the worst qualities of skis in general. It takes the slow top speed of a standup, and the poor handling of a couch (judging by how careful joe looked out there). Wow, great idea, looks like an idea that would be fun to try but the novelty seems like it would grow old on flat water. I wanna see if it handles at all in the surf (ie find your wave and surf it in) 170 lbs in a board doesnt seem like it would be a very good surfboard.

Not sure anyone is going to know what I am talking about. But this reminds me of something I used to see ads for in a wakeboarding mag. The skier was pulled by what looked like a big remote control boat. The skier was the one controlling everything from the rope a normal rope length back. So their was no need for waiting for a driver.

I was hopeing that I wasn't the only one that thought that. I would like to try it just to see how it carves and haw fast you can break your leg as you pop over some boat wakes and the board leaves you floating in the air..

I guess it is like the 3D in Kart mode (which I would own if they were $300) the novelty would dissapear in a few minutes and it would be back to that thing that always seems new and exciting the tried and true SJ
