Not normally, my neighbor pinched one on his TS when closing up the ebox last year, it fried the voltage regulator and melted all 5 wires going to the stator. The smoke was so bad we couldn't breath, it did the exact thing he described, ran for a couple then fizzzz.

Let's not talk about pinched wires, Right now Matt thinks that it's his fault :sneaky: I'm not sure that it was a pinched wire however, the smoke was coming from under the pipe right by the stator. I also checked and double checked the box before I closed it to make sure that I had not pinched any wires. I could be wrong but . . .

The water on the snake was might cold but it was a BLAST, can't wait to get to the beach. . .

Man I am ever glad I water tested after mods! Installed primmer, flush, cleaned carb, 2 bilge pumps etc… So I took it to the lake and it ran like crap. I thought since I removed choke plate and screens out of stock F/A maybe I needed to rejet or turn out high speed screw. So after about an hour of screwing around I start to wonder why the top of my F/A is so wet…. Turns out the flush kit had a leak and was pissing water on top of F/A!
Plugged it and all is good.

Now I need to lake test the other blaster and I’m good to go.

You might say that. Hull has been float - tested, and spark plugs verified to be moisture resistant.:biggthumpup:

And the scupper does wonders to help sink the boat at incredible speeds, especially when there are no bilge pumps.

Mine only leaks a little, sure keeps things dry when your moving!
