Final testing yesterday...

Left calcaneus (heal bone) stress fracture 8/2006
Left calcaneus (heal bone) poss additional stress fracture or reinjury 1/2007
Left foot (ligaments) Planter fascia damage 1/2007
Right calcaneus (heal bone) stress fracture 1/2007
Right foot (ligaments) Serious planter fascia damage 1/2007
(had a cort shot in the heal yesterday :cat40: )

Cystic degenerative tendons or something another in both ankles

Osteopenia (thinning of the bones)

I'm walking without assistance, but that's it. Plantar fascia in the right heal is the witch for now. If pt doesn't work - then surgery. All else is coming along with pt and supplements. Starting meds for the osteo 2mrrw.

No more 8-12' jumps EVER he said:rolleyes: . Wants me riding surf only when I get better :banghead: Everyone says that's fun enough, but I don't feel that way about it all (I want 0 gravity again)!!!

Damn that sucks and I thought it was just the overweight people that had problems like this.

Start taking some calcium magnesium pills with boron and that might help to strengthen your bones a little.

I broke my left collar bone exactly two months ago in Daytona.

I went riding last weekend for the first time and I completely forgot about my injury the whole time I was on the ski. :tongue2:

Well, you are mistaken... Join the Army or Navy, go through the training, make a few jumps and see for yourself how strong your bones are.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about but I used to jump off the roof of my parents house all the time. It would probably kill me know though.

I was thinking the same thing... Used to jump 10-12' off my garage roof.

But than again I did it to lock to house when I lost my key. That was when I was what... 15 or something... Now the ACL would definately let go on a 12'er

lol guys! I dunno really. Have learned that small framed white female smokers premeno  (especially with osteo in family history) are prone to the bone thinning stuff at my age. Luckily they caught it just as it is beginning, so actually I will thank both Torr and Scott for bringing it to my attention so I could request testing; otherwise, I wouldn't found out until it was too late to reverse. Taking 1500 of calcium with D, Glucosime w/ chondroitin, multi vitamin for the first time ever (can "out-tinkle" any male now  ), along with Faramax meds.

They said on the tends & ligs, that I had abused my body with 20yrs gymnastics...that it was not natural. Said my range of motions is unnatural for it. Imagine that could be said about everyone here to a bit of a lesser degree, so fyi, too much hyper-extension is not good. Basically, I have to get back into the gymnastics to feel better, but on a lesser degree.

Was wondering about the obliterating factor myself Scott! I'm not good at judging distances, so I just go by what people have told me they saw on the height thing (I felt like I was jumping higher on that last jump, but nobody saw it). Down to 83lbs now, so if I rocket off a wave to 12' simply because I am light, I wonder if I land equally as hard as someone twice my weight jumping twice the height? Pound of rocks vs a pound of feathers, lol.
