XS 1200-1400 engines (66E) electronics ?

What electronics can be used on those xScream 66e based motor ?
I know they make a stator plate to use a MSD total loss..
but what are the other options ? is it possible to run a charging system ?

Is it possible to run OEM 66e Electronics ? (stator, flywheel, cover)
Is it possible to run 61x/62t oem electronics ?

not much info on those engines..

I'm no expert on the xs motors but I know that a 66e motor can run OEM 66e electronics with a zeel a02t cdi. I would imagine the 66e based xs motor could too.

You can either run a zeel setup with or without charging or a total loss.
I had way better results with a total loss but to be fair I only ever ran one zeel setup from wdk and I have no idea what for curves he had uploaded on it.
He charged 800 for it but I can be done way cheaper if you do it yourself.
We’ve also tried the Riva CDI’s and they’re ok if you can find one.
If you want to actually make power on one you’re going to need to be able to make your own curve. The curve on the oem electronics sucks.
They also sell 3* advancing keyways but I never liked them much.

An oem 66E cdi should "work" too right ?

I have an msd total loss flywheel and stator for a 66 e. You could finish building it out with an ms01 setup. Unless this is a budget build just go with the stock electric and a zeel

It will work you’ll just be leaving lots of power on the table.
Someone posted the unfindable 66e curve somewhere on here but I can’t remember where. Maybe wax did?
Regardless you’re going to end up wanting a custom curve at the end of the day or it’s going to feel very underwhelming. I can’t remember if Yamaha retarded the timing on the rear cyl either.
It’s not hard to modify your pickups and do your own zeel setup you just have to buy the brain and cables.

I wanted to know what were my options with those motors..
because I am looking at buying a package of 2 rickters , one with a XS1200 and the other with a XS1400.
Still haven't decided yet If I part out one or not.
But now that I know that an oem 66e electronics works.. I might remove a MSD total loss on one of the ski to give me a spare total loss for my personal ski

The Zeel A02T is the one I’ve been advised to source for my Unicorn 66e build as well.

Just in case the 1200R timing curves help I’ll share them here as well.

If you have an 800 PV, 1200 PV, 1300 PV or 1300 NPV. Congrats you have a manufacturing defect with your crankcase that requires fixing. All credit goes to Group K for discovering this and Harry Klemm for the writeup but, sharing here as unfortunately it’s not properly documented elsewhere...

Almost done with the 66e laydown B1 build I’ve been slowly working on for the past couple months, I’ll probably post an update within the next month of it running in the B1 with the Riva Rave valves etc.

Took nearly 2 years to source all the unicorn parts.

Zeeltronic will work killer on it. im not 100% on the static angle but you can use an 800 or 760 flywheel on the zeeltronic on an 800.
