They are actualy carbon steel bolts, with a special coating !!

this special coating you speak of isn't it just chrome?

a magnet will not stick to a good quality stainless bolt
a magnet will stick to a low quality stainless bolt
oem yamaha bolts are not stainless but like paul said carbon steel w chrome caoting
