I installed one of those MSD coils years ago and had to take it back out after the first ride. After 20 minutes spark started leaking out and not reaching the spark plugs.. so I’d suggest not even installing it...
Think I half remember sliding the plug boots back with lube, then uncrimping the metal plug ends. Trimming the coil side boots back and drilling the Grommets out and sealing with silicon where needed....
Id prolly do it differently now, if you install it, can you cut the grommets Hole into a U shape, cut the thin shoulder wall out and then make the U big enough to fit over the wires coil side boot... then use silicon to seal any gaps when you seal up the box...
Now that I think about it, this is how I redid mine.. still had to ditch the coil though.. waste of time and money
good luck
symptoms were sharp secondary ignition misfire under load after engine bay got wet... when running with hood off nearly broke down, spark leaking out the plug wires to ground. I’d get shocked if I touched the wires and could see it leaking
