Hy all

i bought a used Single Carb Conversion Kit ( 44mm ) to Matt_E on this board ...
(actually received with Valve Seat = 1.5 , main = 145 , pilot = 120 , spring = gold )

i'll remove my stock dual 38's to put this single 44 and a factory B pipe ...

can you give me the 44 setup carb in conjonction with de B pipe ?

Factory Pipe recommends a 145 main, 120 pilot.
Drop the spring to 95g, and raise the N&S to 2.0

I wouls start w/ the setup he sent, looks close to me. I would normally say 1.8 or 2.0 n/s w/ 115g spring 115p 130m but its close enough to star where it is. Single carb is easy to remove and change if need be.

N&S size and spring work together to give popoff pressure.

Supposedly, even a 1.5 N&S will flow all the fuel that carb needs. Higher spring weights = higher popoff pressures.
Bigger N&S = higher popoff pressure.

Different combinations of the two will give you plenty of options for Popoff pressures.

For starting point I would run 2.0 N&S w/ 95 gram spring and 125 pilot, 130 main set H screw at 1 turn out and low speed at 1 3/8 turns out, for the aftermarket carb. (Exceptions! Is this carb a OEM superjet/waverunner carb?? Look at the low speed adjuster threads and compare to the high speed adjuster threads...if you have an oem carb the threads will be very fine, and if using an aftermarket mikuni carb they will have course threads similar the the high speed adjuster. If using the oem carb adjust the low speed adjuster to 2 1/8 out.
Ride boat, check jetting, if rich on low speed, put in smaller pilot, if lean go up, and same with the main jet, don't mess with the screws right away, GET THE JETTING CLOSE, then adjust the adjusters.
I didn't keep a lot of single carb jetting notes, (horsepower is made with duals) except for lately and mostly have like spec's for Novi 48's.
