I pm'd SUPERTUNE awhile back, and his resleeved big bore pricing was very reasonable compared to that 4mm stroker. I've never rode a boat with either motor, but I'm planning to get a big bore when I can afford it. I already have the cylinder and cases.

I have tried alot of setups... and I love what Paul has done with my new motor. Its a 701, big bored to 84.5 mil standard stroke and pauls case and cyl. porting... I wish you rode it in Daytona Madmat... It pulls like some 4 and 5 mil strokers.... I run, msd, lightnd flywhl, n dual 44s... and soon to run FULLSPECS.:hail: :arms: , Its a whole lot of RELIABLE BRAP ! LPW..... :woot:

Ok you guys have helped me narrow thi$ down big time.

I guess what I will end up getting is a ready to bolt in equal replacement roughly. 61x/62t 7??cc freestyle ported, girdled ripper. Dual 38's or preferably a single 48. Lightened flywheel with either stator/flywheel combo.

Something used and ready to run and tuned for a b pipe limited.

i think the whole question behind this thread is unanswerable without a set budget.

economical for who? donald trump?

:dunno:

OK, let's play with $1k

Providing I have cases(T or X), cylinder(T or X), crank(stock), head(Riva) and a complete gasket set. How would you go about spending the budget ?

Yea that sounds perfect!

I'll be lookin. I just missed a nice 61x 701 on EBAY that went for 721+60 shipping. It would have needed a badazz carb though too.

lets see...

pistons $150
used 48mm carb $200
used rad f/w $300

1k ontop of finding cases, crank and cylinder? you people are RICH!

how about 1k starting with nothing since it's a back up motor.

$75 61x case
$150 760 cyl
$150 used crank
$150 pistons
$50? machine case
$130 gaskets+seals
$50 home port cyl + case (i've already got the template)
$150-$200 sbn 46

$905 total

edit:
$50 recut stock 760 head ($10 for head $40 to cut)
$50 lighten flywheel (flywheel is taken from primary motor)

new total $1,005

yep.

somewhere between this and what wavedemon has posted.

port the cylinder yourself.
T cases are not worth the $$$/HP when low end is the goal.

spend the $$$ on a a kickasz paint job and some booze and whores.

the rest will come.

Economical for me is the 61x/61x single carb I'm running right now. Probably $400 invested minus pipe and electrics.:woot:
