Cases Repairable?

Dasa 4mm 900 let the crank go last season. Just got the crank back from rebuild. Is it worth repairing the bottom case? Is there porting work done to the bottom case or just done to the top. I was gonna have it welded and disaster plate put on but was wondering if it ma be easier just to buy a set of stock 62t cases. Curious to know thoughts.IMG_4616.JPG

Yes they are repairable. Weld and you are good to go. You can weld, epoxy and disaster plate (but not nessacry) You could properly epoxy them bottom case from outside, with devcon and it would work for many years - but not the right way
Most AM engines, have port work done, to top of case (transfers)

I would epoxy a disaster plate on or replace the cases. Case port/epoxy work cost 400-550 depending who you have do it.

Make sure to clamp the cases together and check with feel-er (wouldn't let the complete word post?) gauge that they seal tightly in that area. You have c racks going up on the side some so make sure case wasn't pushed higher up too.
