Are these new engines going to be legal in competition at WF?

its for a future fuel injection from what i have been told!There was a picture that showed some sort of boss on the side of the cases, possibly for a balance shaft or waterpump (for a closed loop and/or non watercraft application).

No reason it wouldn't. As long as not over 1200cc (pro) any engine can be use.

Maybe that is where my confusion lies. I thought that since they spark at the same time, then the pistons must be at the same position at the time of spark. But if not, then is it possible that one spark is a "wasted" spark when one of the pistons is in the exhaust position and the other piston is in the combustion position?
(I am going to have to take the spark plugs out of the 550sx and look this weekend...)

I thought I read somewhere it was based on the crank spacing between pistons or something. Surprised Dasa or xcream didn't come out with something better after all these years. Even Tim offers a better alternative. http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/new-tnt-race-motors.155801/#post-1682200
Xscream uses the 66E cases and crank for their 1200 and 1400 for the same reasons.

Saw a "pre production" ski sunday at surf slam, nick was there letting people ride it. Everyone that test rode it looked like they were having a great time on it. Everything looked great besides a fat stack of shims, sj motor mounts, head pipe, and the bed plate. Not a bad looking package for $12k.

I saw that post also was in the west coast surf riders group.
Must of found it or didn't want the bad publicity of their ski sinking when it takes on water even though 75% of them would anyways..

Someone found the test ski and got it back to Krash. No word on how/why it sank though:
"Right place at the right time!! Saw a jetski floating in the surf around sunset and thought it looked lonely with no owners in sight. Couldn't see anybody in the waves, so I waited for a few minutes and went out waist deep to pull it up on-shore. Jason helped tank it out with me. We called the local authorities and reported. Feet were numb at that point, so I ran in for a quick shower and grab my headlamp. Came back out to a call from the Coast Guard that they were going to launch a full search & rescue!! After about 20 min standing by the ski in the dark, a very excited dude ran up with a cell phone light and was more than relieved to get his baby back!! Prototype Krash Industries jetski was lost today in the heavy surf. Been looking for it all day, luckily he called off the search and no wasted resources tonight! Don't see this everyday... highlight of the evening for sure!!"
