Well I'm pretty sure I got gravel in the intake from pulling my 92 SN out of the water and onto a sandy beach all week at the lake house. I did a search and saw how to take pictures of the gap around the prop from the back of the pump. How bad does this look? I know the pump shoe will have to be replaced, how do I do that? Do I need to replace anything else? I saw something about midshaft couplers when I was searching. Is that something that I need to check? Whatever is wrong, the engine seems to rev just fine but the ski won't even go fast enough for me to stand up on it. Is this all because of a broken pump shoe or is there more damage that I'm not seeing?
I'm a pretty competent mechanic but I'm new to stand ups so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
