I broke my pump shoe and dinged up the prop, how bad does this look?

Here are some photos to show the path of the sealant from the factory.

Snapped these for you tonight incase you don't have it back together yet.

You can see it goes across the bottom and all the way around the tunnel interface.

Hey man, I have been gone on vacation and not I'm away again for a family funeral. Once I'm back home I'll try to get on here and if you want to buy that stock pump shoe I'll sell you it and ship. I can't see it being much over a week for shipping from Canada.

Its ok man, sorry to hear about the funeral. I haven't decided if I want the aluminum shoe or not. Seems to be some differing opinions as to whether or not it is necessary or if a stock one will work just fine.

while you have it apart make sure the pump stator veins look ok. if rocks went thru they may have gotten beat up and honestly that prop doesnt look bad enough to keep the ski from getting on plane....so thats why im wondering about the stator section

I don't see much damage on the vanes but you probably know better than I do. How does this look?

Ok cool, thanks man. So you just run a bead around the perimeter of the shoe where it meets the hull?

I spoke to Impros the other day. They were VERY helpful and they can send me a Worx aluminum pump shoe, hooker 9/15 prop, 3M 5200 sealant, and the special tools to take off the prop for about $500. Should I just go ahead and order the better prop and shoe? Or does it not make sense to put extra money into a single carb square nose?

What's the giant rust spot in the first photo? I can't tell but it looks like rust/crack although its aluminum so that doesn't make sense.

$500 seems like a lot to put into the older ski. I'd pick up a plastic shoe from someone here and a used 08+ stainless prop. You can buy a prop adapter tool from JM or others here. That's just

I appreciate all the responses. I think I'm going to put used stock parts back on it for now. If I hurry I might be able to get a few more rides in this season

I still have a good shape plastic shoe I can sell if you need

Yeah man that sounds good. PM sent

Anyone have a stainless SJ prop for sale?

I'd check the for sale, and post up in the WTB for the stainless prop. I had a few people ping me after I did.

Ok. I've never used the classifieds here but I would guess that SJ props are probably pretty common. Is it worth it to spend the extra for a hooker or a skat trak if I am buying used?
