Waxing/polishing ski

Whats a easy way to wax and polish your jet ski thats simple with good results dosent needa be perfect. Evertime i try and look up a good way to do this there saying you gotta use multiple products and multiple different pads and to wet sand and diffent sites say to use different products and all say to do it different ways. Theres just so many different ways to do it. Im new to this and just want an easy way to do this with good results. Can i do it by hand after washing it with some polish and rag or what should i go out and buy with out going overboard. Thanks for any help.

Depending on how bad the ski is I use a rubbing compound on and off by hand, followed by a wax on by hand and off by buffer with wool pad.

There are easy ways, but they wont produce the best results....so it depends on the amount of effort you want to put in.

Usually the process would be something like Decontaminate the surface (usually a clay bar), aggressive compound (if surface is bad), finish compound, then wax and or sealant.

If you compound (polish), you really need top it with wax or sealant. If you want some recommendations on products, feel free to PM me. I have a ridiculous arsenal of mid to high end products, and have used a lot that is out there in the detailing world.

Post a pic of said ski and can give better instructions. It's really not to bad. Start with regular blue dawn dish soap. This will strip all oil, grease and wax off. I prefer to follow with number 7 mequiers rub on rub off. This is a cleaner and a polish. It not a wax. For a long lasting wax that won't wear off after a ride or two like every bottle wax. Use a paste wax I prefer mequiers gold class. It last forever and imo has the best shine and look. I've tried them all. And this is the winning formula for me.

no worries man, grab some number 7 as well.
i owned a cleanup shop for a long time, actually put me through college. dealer cars didnt get this special treatment cause its not cheap, but it is the best.
did my wifes new car 6 months ago when she bought it and still beads water like it was yesterday

I bought some of the Jet Renu pink quick shine wax, seems to work pretty well and super easy. From their site: "Jet Renu “Pink” is the ultimate spray and shine wax. Ideal for those dusty surfaces, fingerprints and fresh water marks. Quick and easy, spray on, wipe off application.
