get several a week. the easiest clue they are fake is that any email from Ebay or Paypal will always include your full name at the top of the text.

It usually says: eBay sent this message to john q public (username).

I get stuff like on occasion, infact got one today, only slightly different. The one fact that I have ALWAYS found on those is that REAL paypal emails will use your whole name (ex. Dear John Doe) and not "Dear Paypal member" or in some cases, no greeting at all.

Second thing I check for is I scroll on top of the link, and NOT clicking on it, see where it goes. Most of the time its some site that has paypal no where in it, but occasionally someone gets smart and mocks it. The real paypal link will say "www.paypal.com/somerandomcraphere" The fake 'real' looking ones, have an IP number, and sometimes no www, like "209.18.176.216.paypal.com/randomcraphere" In any event, I would always call, even if I thought it was legit.

*They beat me to it!*
