The girly finally confessed to her parents about having a jetski...ofcourse her father of no common knowledge of.....well anything freaks out, and demands that she needs insurance. Which is always a good idea but 90% of us do not.

I am a member with the AWA and know that gives me a discount with Reed Brothers. I'm just curious if anyone has a a square nose with some basic coverage and how much you pay

Doesn't regular health insurance take care of that?

EH...wait a minute. You mean liability and such?
If so, you will want to find a specialty PWC insurance company, or you'll get raped.
I paid $300 a year for full liability and full replacement coverage for a 10k ski (Damn couch).

This won't help you much, because I'm in the land of no standups (most insurance companies won't even cover them) up in Toronto, Canada.

My quote for a 90' SJ was based on a 26 year old female with a pretty bad driving record (the lady). $340 / year, liability only, no theft, payable upfront 1 lump sum.

This topic only proves that too much information can ruin a good thing. Tell her parrents she sold it. No insurrance needed.

I better insure the ski... Because I plan to be doing some drunk camping on the beaches around here with it... I'm always worried people will just walk off with it... Hell I'm worried about it hanging out in my yard/driveway along with other toys just because other people who live around me, know I got some toys and I have already lost 2 dirtbikes, and 1 3wheeler to them bastards...(two different times)... I miss my 3 wheeler.... (honda 250R)

Oh yeah, and the chances of you getting your stuff back are about as good as my chances are to screw a super model...

The only thing I would worry about is letting someone else riding it and have them hitting someone like a swimmer or something...

Chances are I won't hit anyone (responsible, ride open water most of the time), and I don't really care if it sinks or happens to get stolen. Boats can be replaced, people cant.

it makes a big differece in how much liab you want. $15k is cheap, $100k is not so cheap.
Also, some companies will not insure modified skis at all, so don't lie and risk throwing money away.

I would be more interested in insuring my ski for replacement only... SO if it gets stolen then I get money... (aka, who wants a free parts ski!)

State farm here too, I like the peace of mind that if something where to happen and my ski got jacked it will be replaced...sort of.
