Flywheel cover

im not sure how this happened. Last time I was out, I was riding my hurricane at plane about 3/4 throttle. Checking to see how my top end jetting is. Suddenly I hear a whistle sound, immediately went to the nearest shore and opened it up checking all the exhaust couplings. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me and I rode it from the beach to the trailer. Over about 1/4 throttle the noise seemed gone, and was now only whistling sometimes, kind of on and off. Who knows that could have been my mind being flustered and not wanting to hear the noise. So I trailered it and came home. I never expected this one.
Could this be the cause of the noise?
And what would cause this to happen?

Motor runs good and strong. I did have it with a oil pump on but not being used. I just had the pump on there to fill the whole, I'm not sure if that could cause it somehow. I'm really
Just fishing for a reason. It Almost seems like the crankshaft moved forward. But I really can't imagine that's possible. Didn't seem to affect jetting or anything. idle is great in and out of the water. It Still runs like the motor should from what I can tell. Sorry for the run on sentences and terrible typing.
Thank you in advance.

Was the oil pump still being driven off the crankshaft bolt without oil to lubricate the pump because it was disconnected, seizing the pump and fracturing off the center or some portion of your timing cover ?

I later found my problem. I personally overlooked it but my friend came over. The flywheel bolt came loose. I'm guessing what happened is it came loose and spun out, extending and pushing on the oil pump. Creating a bind and eventually putting enough pressure on the cover, breaking a hole through it. Moral of the story is don't forget to torque spec.

Was the pump still being driven by the bolt ?

Did the pump seize up ?

Engine rotates clockwise, if pump seizes and stops it could jar the bolt and unscrew it

Is it possible the oil pump seized under higher rpm?
For example it spins at the rotation speed I provide by hand, but when going 4k rpm with the motor it binds up, causing the bolt to loosen as you stated @Harbor ?
I made a block of plate anyhow, just curious for future reference.

I'm running enhancer, lightened flywheel, pfp pipe, dasa 48 carbs, and mag 144 with a 12/17 large hub swirl. My tuning isn't quite dialed but getting darn close on jetting.
