Around $900 for the hood:biggthumpup: Not a bad price for what your getting IMO. No prices are set in stone yet. Does Anyone out there have a hood that will hold up that weighs 6lbs? Material cost is very expensive..... you get what you pay for:biggthumpup:

I would say that labor is the biggest cost when making these parts. It takes me about three days to make a complete hood. The price is very reasonable:biggthumpup: I guess you don't need a lowered nose piece with the kawi's:biggthumpup:

If they come with handholds and keep the water out better than stock, I will get one this summer...

I would love to shave a bunch of weight off my SXR... The hood is the worst part on the ski. Blowsion's is just too $$$$$.

Blowsion hood and Raptor nose kit is $1095. Hood alone should be right near the $900 mark. And it is worth every penny!

Go for it.... I can guarantee the quality of materials used by blowsion do not compare to what Bobby uses.... and there freestyle hood weighs more like 12lbs vs 6lbs..... No one out there has SXR Carban parts that compete with Trinity.... you will soon see.

I hope they will be great parts when they are finally built, tested and sold. You can have a Blowsion hood today! http://www.blowsion.com

Im sure Bobby would take any preorders and have parts ready to ship by the beggining of Febuary. About 1 month. His products have already been tested by Eric Malone at the 05 WF's, and that was a 4lb hood, and he darted that ski into the ground more then once!

Not interested in preordering. Also Malone did not ride a Kawi at the 05 Worlds. So he could not have tested this hood. Also darting a ski into the ground does not test a hoods strength.

I am sure it will be a good product when it comes out!

I guess that might say something about his 19lb 3/4oz lower hull skin on that particular boat:bigeyes:

Your right, that was a polaris based upper.... why would a polaris hood be that much different to build then a SXR, or SJ hood? other then being two competely different set of molds.

Have you figured out prices on these parts? Using epoxies is the way to go to make lighter and stronger parts, but it also adds cost to making it

hey waterfreak, The prices will be competitive or slightly higher.I can keep material cost down by buying in large bulk. All our materials come from different parts of the world which sometimes hurts because of import duty cost. Over all much cheaper than retail. We buy in bulk to support a family owned airplane production facility. So I piggy back materials at a lower cost to create fun projects one of them being jet skis. Then Trinity employees deliver product.

The freeride version has handholds. The air intake is from the rear w/ dual intake. The front intake will not exsist for f/f hood. The hoods have been running on two different skis. We know their getting enough air, stay dry and are very strong.
