I agree with gradients and reliefs not being wise to use. But a logo made in paint or ps still conveys the message fine for this contest. It will give him the image or idea that he could take to a graphics shop and they could make the vector file. No need for others to be left out of an design contest because they dont have the proper programs.

I agree... I wasn't asking for peope to not submitt, i was mearly pointing out valid issues w/ making logos... my point being if it's not desigened in the right progam it's unusable... You pretty much said the same... He's asking for a logo and using the proper tools is part of it. I just think desinging something that can't actually be used is kinda silly... What are ya gonna tell him when he asks why it can't be made into a sticker??? no worries, you can just pay someone who really knows what they are doing to make it right... ya see my point?

I wouldnt quit trying, any image can be re-created and made into a vector file. The idea is what is being looked for imo and I think Jeff would like to see ideas from everyone too. The more ideas the better the results no?

slut just pointed out that all the fading/gradients and other special effects looks great on computer but isnt going to have the same effect as when its put on shirts/other marketing items. which i think definetely should be taken into account. but that shouldnt stop anyone from posting their ideas:biggthumpup:
