Here is mine........it is a modified Gecko outline made to look like a "waterdawg" or "mudpuppy". A waterdawg is a metamorphic stage of a Tiger Salamander. Kind of a cool font. Nothing to aggressive and I think it compliments the lines of the waterdawg. I modified the slogan just for kicks :tomato:
I cannot do it but super impose pic 3 onto pic 4. I can't do it w/o whiting out the hull. Might be a nifty busniess card idea.
I figure the waterdawg image would be clean on the front of a shirt or down a long sleeve t-shirt and then the back can be a whole pic of REV, X-jet, 1200 motor ect.

IMO if you don't use illustrator, you are wasting your time... the logo will be pretty much worthless... ps is ok to use, but you are still wasting your time. Illustrator is god....
Also... gradients and reliefs are not gonna work for a logo well either... ya got to think of the shirt and sticker maker when desiging these things... It will save you major headaches in the future... and money

I'm not high tech enough to use much more than Adobe CS. I was thinking more on the lines of logos to emboss or etch into products. I wish I could do more with the fonts.

eye candy is a fx suite w/ tons of filters to modify artwork... ALL Text should be done in Illustrator. ..Also, if you use paint, the logo is useless. The text is not saved as text, it's converted to pixals... it would have to be completely remade in a real program like Illustrator...
These graphics company's only use vector files... bitmapepd text contains no valid info... you need paths..

I agree with gradients and reliefs not being wise to use. But a logo made in paint or ps still conveys the message fine for this contest. It will give him the image or idea that he could take to a graphics shop and they could make the vector file. No need for others to be left out of an design contest because they dont have the proper programs.
