My engine is fouling a set of sparkplugs by the end of each day of riding? (SOLVED)

Hello,

I have my ski now for a couple of months and lately it's been burning a set of plugs by the end of each day I ride.
This is everything I have done to the ski up till now. basically resolving issues.
-I removed a restrictor from inside one of the water lines which was causing the engine to overheat since I live in warm weather.
-I tapped the manifold to switch to dual cooling, and I am running the "true dual cooling" waterline setup
-I also tuned my b-pipe to mid+bottom closed, and top at 3/4.. This made a huge difference in low-mid end snappyness. Not sure if this can have anything to do with burning my plugs.
-My carbs are set to: low=1 1/4 about and top end is at 1 1/2
-Burnt a ground wire going to the stator because my started was bad. The magnets inside were stuck and corroded and was constantly pulling electricity (has new starter now)

Another thing that has been happening a lot is each time i do a 180 slide or 180 areal the engine kind of bogs pretty bad and i have to idle and play with the throttle until it clears up. This also happens basically each time i start it up in the water. With fresh plugs it happens les (pretty sure)

I want to go in the surf but as long as it's bogging and burning plugs I don't think it's a good idea

Check your tank one way valve. Make sure that it is letting air into the tank.

The tank one way valve is working. It only lets air into the tank.
I bypassed the on/reserve switch. It wasn't flowing well through the reserve.

by the end of a days riding I have to replace the plugs.
With a fresh set of plugs the engine sounds healthy and has a nice high pitch rev in the mid-top end.
By the end of the day it starts to bog like in the video every time I start it. When it's like that if I try to punch the gas the rpm goes up but not as far and kind of sounds like it has an air leak.
but as soon as I replace the plugs it's back to normal

I am using ngk BR8HS.
Can it be my oil? I'm using royal purple two stroke oil. usually 40:1 mixture. but this last wknd I used 50:1 to see if it will not burn it but still did.
I was thinking about switching to Klotz

What head are U running? If it's anything but stock those are the wrong plugs, should be br8es with aftermarket head

the head is supposed to be a Group K milled head. But I looked up group K and there are a lot of different options. I have no idea which one it is.
I am planning on buying a ada head with 35 and 34 mm domes.

I bought the ski as a rtr ski. only had it for about 2 months now

Sounds like your running the right plugs than...groupk should just be a milled stocker

Just so we are all on the same page here, can you post a pic of the plugs so we can see for ourselves what you are describing as "burnt" plugs?

Probably need to cut back plug wires. But that's just my suggestion without seeing anything.

I will post pictures of the plugs when i get home.
I dont mean they literally burn. Im not sure if im using the correct term. I just mean that the plugs go bad after a days riding and the engine wont start until i change the plugs.

I know when its happening since i feel a lack of power in the engine. Then after some more riding it just wont start.

I had a similar issue, turned out one of the stator wires was loose in the connector where they are bundled on the stator.

Everyone of these plugs look like something I would expect to find in a 70 year old lawn mower.

i had the same issue awhile back.pulled the ebox and found it was milky and crusty inside, ended up being a bad coil (jss rebuilt one) so i slapped a clean stocker in there and i was back in business. hope this helps

most likely its the plugs leads which are breaking down (start the ski in pitch darkness, with the "burnt" plugs)...u might see the HT breaking down, but under no real engine load u can miss this, so just replace leads all the way to the coil....next option it could be the coil itself which is is also breaking down internally as the plugs resistance increase once you have put a few hours on them

As before you've had multiple issues causing multiple symptoms and I think that may still be the case. Aside from the plug concern You also mention engine bog after 180 hop or slide like @ 2 min in your vid. I wondering if that bog is caused by water rushing up the exhaust pipe on those maneuvers or carb vents becoming blocked momentarily by your large exhaust hose.

Can you post some clear pictures of (1) your exhaust pipe at the rear of the ski, curious to see if the pipe is cut flush to the hull or protrudes out the back of the ski 2 or more inches, the shape or angle the tip of the pipe has been cut in (2) your water box or resonator (3) proximity of the large exhaust hose to the carb covers vent holes, and it's looseness, can it with or without water in it move over enough to momentarily block the cover the vent holes during your 180 slid hops

Also mentioned hard starting. Are we sure the carbs are working right? You are doing a lot of idling. Leaking popoff or being rich on the bottom will make it load up a lot and foul the plugs. You probably never have it WOT for more then moments. I have to run a bit richer than most to keep from leaning out WOT when racing. My ski runs super crisp during regular riding but in the surf it starts running rich. I have to replace my plugs much more often with frequent surf riding.

JM and Xmetal said I should be 135/75@32, but I'm running 140/75@18 so I can race. Their specs were better in surf and flatwater conditions with frequent idling but my ski would lean out on the top.

Just when I thought all was good something pops up ha. thanks again for helping me with the other issues.
I thought about that before, but even when i dont do those maneuvers it happens. Let's say if I'm riding and i just stop and let my gf ride as soon as i stop. it bogs when started, then it clears up.
On sunday I had to clear it up holding on to the side and have her hold on the foot holds so when it clears up she just takes over the bars and I let go ha.

The wires look like a mess at the moment, but that was when we ran the new ground wire.

I recently had a look in my e-box because of a burnt ground wire cause by a bad starter. everything looked good inside.

What ignition are you running, stock?
