What is the most fun all around recreational freestyle type ski you have ridden?
Not talking about sequential backflip monsters, just something with decent power that is great fun to throw around on the lake; sort of the "Freestyle Fun on a Budget" ski.

-4 and rocker SN. I like it as much as a chan, which is my favorite Budget AM hull. However the Chan is much lighter and preater than a SN

Ohh come on...the friggen lanyard just pops out in the no wake zone. I have no way to explain it haha. *Thinks of a good excuse*
owner might wanna look into a new Start/Stop if the lanyard is just popping out on it

OP I have only riden a foot rocket n a Gen II bob... n there was no comparing the two(hands down rocket)

I enjoyed my old Square with 718 jetmaniac motor, B pipe, hooker 9/15. However, I love riding my bob gen3 with the same 718. Quite frankly, transfering that same motor to my bob it literally feels like a new, harder hitting motor probably due to the weight reduction. It just rides "light", pops great and does not buck you off like everyone claims the bob's do. I can run it WOT without issue. Another fun hull is the ROKR. On Monday evening, I was riding with the Waterdawg Kustomz crew and enjoyed their hull. They are fun to ride, respond very quickly and honestly want to jump/pop easier then my bob. I found a short pole is a must on both of those hulls and I am running basically a -5 and want to go shorter already. Just my $.02 on these 2 hulls, from first hand experience because it is all about personal preference and actually riding a hull to form your own opinion.

Maybe I'll get it all the way around NEXT time....

Yurkanip has it right - ride as many as you can. I love my Q8, but there are a lot of people who really don't like riding them. Rickters feel like SJ's to me, but just "better". Rode one BOB gen 1, had a hard time riding that one, but some of the other guys just love them. It's all rider preference. If you are ever in the Scottsdale area, you can take my ski out for a tank of fuel and see what you think. One of my riding buds has a FR2 Rickter, he's not as into sharing his ride though.... and another has a seriously chopped up SN that is a blast to ride. The Epic Industries hull is a pretty fun boat, but it is an entirely different feel than any other stand up I've been on - the handling is very different.

If I was to do it all over again, I might give my money to Tom21 for a carbon FX1 hull.... but I'd have to test ride one first!

I was hoping this thread was going to help me pick a low budget hull.. I think the bottom line is just that I need to ride more hulls!
