Carb clearance ADA Head

Location
Ice&Snow
46mm Blackjacks on a R&D Intake + mounting plate. Carbs mount to the manifold with the wheel towards the back of the ski with the pumps facing away from the engine.

Setup like this the carb won't clear the ADA head. I think I have two options at this point and I'm not sure what the best route is.

1. Grind side of the head down for clearance. I'm somewhat reluctant to do this as I'm not sure how much material I can safely remove. I only need a small amount removed, anyone ever do this? I know it won't look nice but I have no intentions of selling this head.

2. Spend some $$ and pickup a reed spacer to push the Carbs out a bit.

If you grind on the head, then you will remove anodizing in this area so it will corrode faster, but no a big deal if a small amount.

Reed spacer is easier, but they increase case volume and lower low end power.

Another option is to have machine shop cut a little angle on the manifold on the part that bolts to cases to move the carbs away from the head.

Another option is to sell the mani and get a newer designed one that fits better like the PHP.
