OEM SJ cover not fitting... Input please

So I'm pretty sure I know why I can't get this brand new cover I just bought for my RN won't fit, but just want to get some input before I return it. I have a 3 3/4 inches shortened pole and also 0 degree bars and it seems that with the bars and the way the shortened pole sits on the hood compared to a stock pole is where my fitment problem lies. Has any one else had the same experience?

Any body use any other brand of cover that has my same setup? Any input on other brands such as the blowsion cover?

Im not sure, but I am about to shorten my handlepole and I'll be running straight bars or 0Deg bars and I hope my OEM cover still fits. :bigeyes:

I travel back and forth between Al and Fl so its nice to have that cover on there.

Nope, I tried every thing. I lossened the elastic straps as much as I can, I tried fitting it over the handlebars first, I have gone nose first and pulled it up as far off the nose as possible.

I think you're right in that those zero bars are lifting up the center making it shorter overall.

I have an AC standard length pole with 4deg. UMI bars. The oem cover fits very tight around the bars, it has started to rip a little at the bar ends!:bigeyes:

You may have to get violent with it and settle with a couple of small rips at the bar ends?

Come to think of it you might be better off actually cutting holes for the bars then having the wife sow it. You're better off doing that cuz once it starts to rip then the rip will spread and trash the whole cover.:biggthumpup:

i have a jet pilot cover, im not sure if you can buy them because it was given to me by a certain someone, but i just cut holes in the sides where my bars stick out. fits kinda tight, but i can get it on with ease.

my pole is shortened 2" and i have 0 deg bars.

I'm gonna have a friend who can sew pretty well take a look at it. Maybe he can alter it to make it fit. Maybe he can use some of that black leathery/vinyl stuff in the places where the cover has to be adjusted.

I have a slippery cover and it barely fits (0 degree and 3inch short pole) but i think that the aftermarket bars are longer then the stockers
