650/X-2 Ouch, runaway jet ski

Snapped my handlebar stem out in the surf, luckily the ski went straight for the beach and not the ocean or people..... Gonna put a lanyard on it now.

Was riding the other day also, had my lanyard wrapped around the bars, ski got away from me and was running higher than idle.... Luckily my buddies caught it.. WHERE YOUR LANYARD!!

Still had the standard Kawasaki start stop switch without a lanyard. Ordered a lanyard switch the other day, not making that mistake twice!!

All it takes is one experience like this to convert someone to importance of using a lanyard. Glad no one got hurt.

Yeah, it was about the best way it could have possibly gone. Either way along the beach it would have hit rocks. Out to sea it would have kept going until it ran out of fuel never to be seen again..... At least its only got a kart tank not a full size tank. I dislocated my finger, but that's just jet skis.....

Got a UMI steering setup on there now, the new killswitch should turn up today, then back on the water to see what this thing can do
