SXR Rubber bushing on drive shaft

Location

It's not the bushing that goes in the end of the prop, it's a lot bigger and it seems to have made its way into the center of the where the intake grate is on the shaft. It's about 1 to 2 inches long and it's thinner on the end that is closer to the hull. Did this come out of my bearing carrier can I just slid it back up any advice would be great.

Are there any other rubber components that can work there way out onto the drive shaft? I looked at the manual and could not see any...

checking in on this one, after looking again at this it is the rubber nose cone for the prop, I thought it fell off, it has just bee moving up and down the drive shaft, I check after two rides this weekend and it was in different locations each time. So should I just leave it or work it back into place and put a tiny bit of silicone on it to hold it in place?

Thanks for the advice thus far guys!!!

I had the same issue on a superjet, I pushed it back in multiple times and every time it would come out of the impeller sometimes causing cavitation (when it would make its way up the shaft). I ended up putting on a billet one from impros or somebody, had the same issue, they said they had redesigned them to use two screws and if I sent mine back, they would send me a new one. I ended up just taking it off and never ran one, never had an issue after that.
