It only gets polluted in the spring from the big storms and only by the rivers. Looks beautiful in the fall.

our great lake also has one of the fastest turn over rates for water, since we have such a small amount of water
it turns over like every 2 yrs.
makes it a easy place to get polluted but also cleans up much faster if the polution ever stops

...not that Lake St. Clair is even a real lake, it's a phenomenal place to ride.

Lake St. Clair, a lake in central North America, astride the border between southeastern Michigan and southern Ontario. The nearly circular lake is 42 km (26 mi) long and has an area of 1114 sq km (430 sq mi).

The lake is 42 kilometres (26 mi) from north to south and 37 kilometres (24 mi) from east to west. It is a very shallow lake with an average depth of about 10 feet (3 m), and a maximum natural depth of 21 feet (6.4 m), although it is 27 feet (8.2 m) deep in the navigation channel which has been dredged for freighter passage.
