Other Shipping to Australia?

Trying to sell a 650sx engine on ebay. Someone from Australia was interested. Trying to calculate shipping, and WOW. Im guesstimating the weight to be around 60lbs, in a rubbermaid tote. Its like $700 bucks to ship Fed Ex and UPS. Has to be a cheaper way. They only give 2 time options also, which is like a week and just under a week. Any info would be appreciated. If its more than $100 or $200 I dont think its worth his while unless its harder to get a 650 engine over there.

Almost everything in Australia is an import. A 30 year old 550 sell for $1400-$2000 here. If the freight is $700 or less, its a good deal for the Aussie.

Freight companies to get quotes from:

Vanguard
One World Logistics
Savino Del Bene

Then why are 550's so pricey?

Cause Kawasaki is the poop and perfect for freestyle, DUH.

Surprised you don't know that John, Gomez seems to. He was out riding the 550 yesterday.....

When I was Marks size, I could ride one too! (No Offense Mark- Luv u brotha!) I'm thinking Kevins stretching that number a little though, Because if it were true I'd have a whole shipping container of 550"s heading to our brothers down under

Yeah gumtree.com.au, tradingpost.com.au, boatsales.com.au

I've seen two 550's go up for $4500 together on a trailer. Don't know if they sell, but they are priced there!

We sell 2012/13 superjets for $11,500.

The new runabouts, FX SHO and RXPX are anywhere between $17,000-21,000.

Same thing in TAHITI . In French Polynesia, we are. Like Australia. In the middle of south pacific, every thing is import. ...
Everything is expensive

just . Always sun, wave. Blue hot water is free ;-)))

I just moved to NZ a month ago, my ski is STILL in transit hopefully it comes soon, summer just started. It cost me about $2300 for a crate with a ski and a bunch of other gear in it. Not a huge fan of the freight forwarder I used, they haven't been terribly professional so I can't help with who to use.

I'd check on oz freeride, and see if there are any vendors who are bringing a container load of parts over from the states soon from someone like blowsion or hot products and see if they can throw it in a container with their gear (this is pretty common and a good option if the buyer isn't in a hurry).

Couple of tips:
-do not pack it with ANY wood of ANY kind. OZ/NZ customs will freak out, its a bio-security regulation.
-make sure that who ever you quote with is providing customs clearance.
-Clean the engine up nicely, dirty stuff has a harder time clearing bio as well
-NO WOOD PACKAGING
