R&D girdle kit questions

It is not a westcoast girdled head, the head is just a plain WC cast head with an R&D girdle kit, the parts all work together because I bought it from a member here (JMTeam) that had it on a running ski. I have asked him this same question but seem to get no response. All I need to know is if it uses studs in the case or if I need longer bolts and where I can get either of these parts.

I am not sure if all the heads use a metal gasket but this one has a gasket on it and its for sure not metal but looks to fit fine....

This is the bolt I am talking about, it goes through the girdle kit but does not reach the block, leading me to believe there needs to be a stud with female threads for it to screw into.

Hmmmmmmm, looks like you need to contact JMTeam and find out where the hardware is.......... try R&D or ProTec since they both sold that style....... Have you thought of that.........

if your cylinder is not ported, you dont have to use the girdle kit.

Katie had the same thing on her head. The cylinder was not ported and only 175 on compression so I took it of and sold it. You may not need it either.

I am trying to get a hold of JMTeam, I sent him a PM a while back but no response, sent him another today. I sent an email to the guys at R&D and am waiting on a reply.

I see what you need now. I'd bet those bottom bolts with female tops are the same as the bottome half of the riva girdle kit even though the top is diferent.

or cantact r&D or Pro-tec

Isn't another purpose of a girdled head to bump compression and give that little extra hit?

YES, that is what I was looking for. I sent an email to R&D and am waiting on a reply. I may give them a call next week if I dont hear from them. Granted I can get away without the girdle kit but if it cost me 20-30bucks more to run it Ill do it plus its shiny!

My WC head also increases compression, and has removable domes. JM team said somewhere around 180psi...

I suppose I could just take a piece of stock aluminum, drill some mounting holes and tap some plug holes and 'customize' my compression. And get a cheap girdled head.
