How about a National Jetski Freeride Day in 2007?

I was thinking this could be a way to get some exposure for our sport next year.

We have a National Jetski Freeride Day, and have small freerides all over the country. Nothing huge, just small get togethers, or maybe even some big ones, but all on the same day and get some news stations involved in covering it. I know around here the television stations are always looking for something interesting to cover and would come out in a heartbeat.

What do you guys think?

Like 2 ride locations per region? Making it close to everyone and easy for all to make it to one somewhere? I think we can nominate some one or get volunteers for one person per location to rally the troops in thier area. We can use the locator map to try and find locations within 200 miles of everyone in thier region. Whos gonna head up the thread and overall deal? Needs to be some recognition for the ride with best turnout too.

I'm all for it. Even though having it in the winter would be difficult for those of us up north. I vote for summer/fall but then again if we got a dozen or so skis out on the lake in the winter up here that would definately be a news story. However I don't think that some are up for it, you know who you are :sneaky:

Yeah, I'm thinking June or July, maybe coincide with the Rock-n-Ride or Wave Rave. The Riot ride is a bit early for some still, and Freestylefest is real close to Havasu/Jersey so between those would be better I'm thinking.

The more that i think about this the better the idea sounds. I do think that it needs to be June or later. Everyone could get together and have a BBQ and a great turnout for some awesome riding.

And if Matt doesn't want to put together one for the PNW I'm sure that there are others that would be more than willing to step up.:sneaky:

ill head up the Upper Peninsula of MI, everyone who rides lives in my town or an hour away. Im only driving downstate to ride for WaveRave.
